
Minister Lakshmi Rajwade, responsible for Women and Child Development, visited the Seva Bharati Matru Chhaya Shishu Griha, a special adoption agency, in the district. During the inspection, she interacted with the children, inquired about their welfare, and gained insight into the care and support offered by the organization. Minister Rajwade emphasized that the happiness of the children is a source of inspiration and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to their safety, health, and future.
The minister commended the organization’s work in protecting, nurturing, educating, and rehabilitating children. She noted that such agencies play a vital role in creating positive changes in society. Seva Bharati Matru Chhaya Shishu Griha, a recognized special adoption agency, provides a secure environment and facilitates the adoption process for abandoned, orphaned, and vulnerable children. The institution provides age-appropriate nutrition, education, and healthcare.
Minister Rajwade instructed officials to provide regular technical and administrative assistance to such institutions to improve the children’s quality of life. She also highlighted the state government’s continuous efforts to make the adoption process transparent, sensitive, and accessible. The inspection was attended by district-level officials from the Women and Child Development Department, members of the Child Protection Unit, and the director of the institution, along with other respected figures, who updated the minister on the organization’s operations and current situation.
