Chhattisgarh ATS has successfully detained two minor boys in Raipur who are accused of collaborating with a Pakistan-based ISIS module. According to Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, the youths were reportedly following instructions from ISIS operatives based in Pakistan and were actively using the internet and social media with fake accounts. They were influenced by extremist content and were attempting to radicalize others, especially younger individuals, through platforms like Instagram. Sharma disclosed that the case is the first of its nature in the state and stressed that investigations are underway to uncover any additional involvement. He announced plans to strengthen the ATS presence throughout Chhattisgarh and appealed to citizens to report any anti-national content found online. Police officials revealed that the Pakistan-based ISIS module had established numerous fake social media accounts to destabilize India and undermine its security via cyber means. The handlers allegedly used Instagram group chats to indoctrinate the minors, encouraging them to spread ISIS propaganda and violent material online. Evidence suggests the minors were also being motivated to establish an ISIS cell within Chhattisgarh.
