In a sorrowful incident near Darbha on NH 30, close to Kanger Ghati National Park, Jagdalpur, a family of four lost their lives. The deceased included a husband, his wife, and their two children. The family’s Swift Dzire car was overwhelmed by floodwaters, leading to this tragic outcome. The family from Tamil Nadu was visiting Bastar when the accident occurred. The driver managed to escape the vehicle and swim to safety, but the remaining four family members were caught in the powerful current. The Additional SP, Maheshwar Nag, verified the unfortunate event. After extensive efforts late into the night, the SDRF team recovered the bodies from inside the car. The bodies were sent to Jagdalpur Medical College for post-mortem procedures. The police have begun an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
