During the Onam festival, Kerala experienced a surge in alcohol sales, with the total exceeding 800 crore rupees. According to data released by the Kerala State Beverages Corporation (KSBC), sales from their outlets amounted to 826.38 crore rupees during the festival period. This represents a 6.38% increase in sales compared to the same period last year. Notably, sales figures for the day before Onam reached 137.64 crore rupees, reflecting a 9.23% rise from the previous year’s figure of 126.01 crore rupees.
