
The Chhattisgarh Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Department has issued an order to resume kerosene distribution to ration card holders, including those with gas connections, in the state’s non-scheduled areas under the Public Distribution System. For August, Chhattisgarh is set to receive 1332 kiloliters of kerosene, which will be distributed through fair price shops. This decision was communicated through a letter sent from the Food Department, located in Indravati Bhawan, to all district collectors and the state-level coordinator of the Oil Industry in Raipur. The guidelines clarify that all Antyodaya and priority ration card holders under the public distribution system are eligible. Urban ration card holders are entitled to one liter of kerosene, while those in rural areas, including both scheduled and non-scheduled areas, can receive up to two liters. The deadline to collect the allocated kerosene for August 2025 is August 31. The district-wise allocation of kerosene for August is as follows: 48 kiloliters each for Bastar, Kanker, Janjgir-Champa, Durg, Korba, Raigarh, Bemetara, Kawardha and Sarangarh-Bilaigarh; 36 kiloliters each for Dhamtari, Kondagaon, Mungeli, Balod, Rajnandgaon, Gariaband, Balrampur, Surajpur and Shakti; 72 kiloliters each for Bilaspur, Raipur, Surguja, and Jashpur; 60 kiloliters each for Balodabazar-Bhatapara, Mahasamund; and 24 kiloliters each for Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, Korea, Sukma, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi; and 12 kiloliters each for Bijapur, Narayanpur, Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai and Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki.
