
The Chhattisgarh Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Department has issued an order to resume the distribution of kerosene to ration cardholders under the Public Distribution System (PDS), including those in non-scheduled areas who possess gas connections. The state has been allocated 1332 kiloliters of kerosene for the month of August, which will be distributed through fair price shops. The Food Department, located in Indravati Bhawan, has sent a letter to all district collectors and the state-level coordinator of the Oil Industry Raipur.
The notification states that all Antyodaya and priority ration cards under the PDS are eligible for the kerosene supply. Ration cardholders in urban areas will receive one liter of kerosene, while those in rural areas (scheduled and non-scheduled) can receive up to two liters. The allocated kerosene for August 2025 must be collected by August 31.
District-wise kerosene allocation for August is as follows: Bastar, Kanker, Janjgir-Champa, Durg, Korba, Raigarh, Bemetara, Kawardha, and Sarangarh-Bilaigarh will each receive 48 kiloliters; Dhamtari, Kondagaon, Mungeli, Balod, Rajnandgaon, Gariaband, Balrampur, Surajpur, and Shakti districts will receive 36 kiloliters each; Bilaspur, Raipur, Surguja, and Jashpur will receive 72 kiloliters each; Balodabazar-Bhatapara and Mahasamund will each receive 60 kiloliters; and Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, Korea, Sukma, and Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi will receive 24 kiloliters each. Additionally, Bijapur, Narayanpur, Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, and Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki districts will receive 12 kiloliters each.
