Announcement of bringing a law in the assembly to effectively stop conversion
Raipur, August 14, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, while addressing the Culture Pride Mahasammelan and felicitation ceremony held in Dharamjaigarh, Raigarh today, said that the late Kumar Dilip Singh Judeo was not only a guide to politics, but also a true standard-bearer of Sanatan Dharma and Indian culture. He said that the late Judeo ji, through “Ghar Wapsi”, showed those who converted under pressure or external influence, the way to return to their original religion. Especially in tribal areas, he launched a strong movement against conversion and connected people with their cultural identity and traditions.
Chief Minister Shri Sai announced that a law would be passed in the assembly to effectively stop conversion in the state, so that Sanatan culture and traditions can be protected. He said – “With the blessings of the people of the state and the saints, the son of a farmer has become the Chief Minister, and our priority has been to implement the guarantees of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji on the ground during the tenure of one and a half years.”
During this time, the Chief Minister, while mentioning the achievements of the state government, said that works like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, paddy procurement at ₹3,100 per quintal, distribution of outstanding bonus, Mahtari Vandan Yojana, increase in tendu leaf collection rate, re-starting of Charan Paduka Yojana, Ramlala Darshan Yojana, pilgrimage scheme, Atal Digital Seva Kendra and simplification of name transfer-registry process, reflect the government’s commitment towards public interest.
Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary said that the late Dilip Singh Judeo, along with being a pioneer of politics, remained dedicated throughout his life to the protection of religious and cultural values. He informed that immediately after the formation of the government, under the leadership of the Chief Minister, an outstanding bonus of ₹3,716 crore was given to more than 13 lakh farmers, 21 quintals of paddy per acre was purchased at the rate of ₹3,100 per quintal and under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, about 57 thousand women of Dharamjaigarh are being given assistance of ₹1,000 per month. Under the PM Awas Yojana, 18 lakh houses have been approved in the state, out of which 26,059 houses are only in Dharamjaigarh.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various development works during his visit to Dharamjaigarh, the total cost of which is more than 100 crore rupees. This includes works related to roads, bridges, electricity and health infrastructure.
The announcements include ₹10 crore for the urban panchayat area (construction of Gauravpath, sports complex, expansion and renovation of Nehru Garden) and ₹50 crore for rural areas (including a culvert on the Sarriya river on the Dharamjaigarh-Ongna and Khadgaon-Krondha road and other road-bridge works). Along with this, the upgradation of Chhal Primary Health Center to Community Health Center, establishment of a 132 KV sub-station (₹50 crore) and beautification of Ambetikra temple have also been announced.
During the program, the benefit of various schemes was provided to hundreds of beneficiaries. These include smartphones, Mahajal equipment, Charan Paduka, meritorious education assistance, Ayushman cards, horticulture plants, community investment fund checks, B-1 khasra and map copies and distribution of benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Awas Yojana.
On this occasion, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Devendra Pratap Singh, Lok Sabha MP Shri Radheshyam Rathia, Kumar Prabal Pratap Singh Judeo and Mayor of Municipal Corporation Shri Jeevardhan Chauhan were present.
