A special day unfolded for the followers of Lord Jagannath in Raipur, with the commencement of a magnificent Rath Yatra. The procession, featuring Lord Jagannath, his brother Balabhadra, and sister Subhadra, began from the Shri Jagannath Temple in Gayatri Nagar. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Governor Ramen Deka attended the temple to offer prayers and invoke blessings for the welfare of the state’s populace.
Minister Tank Ram Verma and MP Brijmohan Agrawal also participated in this spiritual event, accompanying the Chief Minister and Governor. The temple grounds were filled with numerous devotees who gathered to observe the Rath Yatra and receive divine blessings.
As per tradition, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated the Rath Yatra by using a ‘golden broom’ to clean the path of the chariot. This act symbolizes dedication and service to Lord Jagannath. The atmosphere was charged with devotion, reflecting the grandeur of the Rath Yatra and the strong faith of the devotees.
