
In a strategic move to bolster sports and healthcare in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met with Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. The meeting resulted in a significant decision to elevate the Bastar Olympics to the status of ‘Khelo India Tribal Games’. This will provide tribal youth a platform to showcase their talent nationally, while also promoting Chhattisgarh’s traditional sports on a global scale. Additionally, the Chief Minister put forward a proposal to establish 220-bed medical and nursing colleges in Raipur and Bilaspur. This move is intended to improve the quality of health education and medical facilities in the state. The Union Minister assured that the central government would expedite the approval process. Furthermore, the Chief Minister requested the establishment of a regional center for the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE) and the expansion of sports infrastructure through new stadiums and training centers. The Union Minister has pledged to address these requests promptly. Key officials accompanied the Chief Minister at the meeting.
