
Chhattisgarh’s government has unveiled a substantial package of measures designed to assist small businesses, encompassing a waiver on VAT liabilities of up to ₹25,000. This initiative will directly benefit over 40,000 traders. The state cabinet, led by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, has greenlit key legislative changes, including the Chhattisgarh GST Amendment Bill 2025 and the Chhattisgarh Arrears Tax Settlement Bill 2025, which will be introduced during the monsoon session. These changes include modifications to GST regulations, allowing input service distributors greater flexibility and streamlining appeal processes. The initiatives aim to improve the ease of doing business and create a more favorable business environment.
