Chhattisgarh has seen an early onset of the monsoon this year, arriving approximately two weeks ahead of schedule. The monsoon became fully active across the state on June 18th, and 75% of the state has received substantial rainfall in the past fortnight. Continuous rainfall in the capital, Raipur, and other regions has led to cooler temperatures and overflowing rivers and streams. The weather department has warned of heavy rainfall across the state and has issued specific alerts for various districts.
