A major controversy has erupted in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, concerning Navdurga Fuel Power Limited. The Revenue Department has found that the company illegally occupied approximately 23 acres of government-owned land in Saraiapali, Tamnar block, for around 20 years. The land, designated as Kotwari land, was seized using what the department has deemed fraudulent means. The company has been ordered to vacate the land within a 15-day timeframe. The revelation came about after the Revenue Department received complaints about unauthorized occupation. Investigations confirmed that Navdurga Fuel Power Limited had taken control of the land for its plant operations, supported by fabricated documentation. Further investigation revealed that the land had been occupied through a scheme involving forged documents and collusion. For two decades, the plant operated on the disputed land before the Revenue Department intervened. The department has served a notice, giving the company 15 days to vacate the premises. The administration is prepared to reclaim the land and pursue legal action if the company fails to comply. The villagers of Saraiapali and neighboring areas have welcomed the decision with great enthusiasm, expressing their appreciation to the administration for addressing the years-long issue of encroachment.
