
The new assembly building being constructed in Nava Raipur, Chhattisgarh, is nearing its final stages. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao conducted an inspection of the construction on July 10th. The work is anticipated to be completed by September, with an inauguration targeted for November 1st. High-profile dignitaries such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi or President Droupadi Murmu are expected to attend the opening ceremony, timed to coincide with the state’s foundation day. The state is planning special events to celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2025. During his visit, Deputy CM Arun Sao sat in the MLA seat to personally assess the comfort. Interior work is progressing rapidly in the Assembly Secretariat, Ministers’ Chambers, and other areas. The new building is designed to showcase Chhattisgarh’s culture. The building features a large 52-acre campus, a house with 200 seats, an auditorium for 500 people, parking for 700 cars, and separate chambers for 24 ministers. The monsoon session will take place in the old assembly building. The winter session will be held in the new building.
