
A new ‘Atal Parisar’ has been inaugurated in Ward No. 22, Sasa Holi, Raipur, to honor the memory of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Raipur MP Brijmohan Agrawal, Revenue Minister Tank Ram Verma, Municipal President Chandrakala Khu Man Verma, and other attendees participated in the inauguration, which included traditional rituals. The construction of the Atal Parisar was funded by 28.16 lakh rupees from the infrastructure fund. The complex features an attractive statue of Atal Ji, a well-designed pedestal, and walls and floors decorated with attractive granite, all enhanced with electrical installations.
Brijmohan Agrawal shared his pride in the inauguration and spoke about the high regard in which Atal Ji was held, even by the opposition. He highlighted Atal Ji’s contributions to village development, freeing farmers from debt, and the success of the Kisan Credit Scheme. Tank Ram Verma praised Atal Bihari Vajpayee as a distinguished leader, poet, writer, and editor, earning him the Bharat Ratna. He emphasized Atal Ji’s role in making India a nuclear power through the Pokhran tests, and his implementation of the Prime Minister’s Rural Roads Scheme, which connected villages with roads. Municipal President Smt. Chandrakala Khu Man Verma thanked the Chief Minister Sai and the Chhattisgarh government for the establishment of the statue and acknowledged Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s role in establishing the state of Chhattisgarh.
