The Chhattisgarh government, led by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, has approved a project to build a modern cricket academy, aimed at nurturing the state’s young cricketing talent. During a cabinet meeting, it was decided to allocate 7.96 acres of land in Sector-3, Gram-Parsada, Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, to the Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh.
Although government procedures typically restrict direct land allocations to non-profit entities, an exception has been made in this instance to support the development of the academy and promote cricket.
Chhattisgarh has substantial opportunities in cricket, as evidenced by the successes of regional players at the national level. The existing international stadium emphasizes the need for an academy to provide specialized training. This academy is designed to give promising young athletes the chance to flourish in the sport and to bring greater recognition to the state. This initiative is set to enhance Chhattisgarh’s reputation in sports.
