
An online scam resulted in the loss of ₹2.65 lakh for Angnesh Minj, the female principal of Jamjunnani Primary School. The scam involved the transfer of funds over two days. The principal was contacted by an unknown caller who asked if she used PhonePe. After she confirmed, they inquired about her account balance. The principal stated she had approximately ₹3 lakh. The scammer offered a deal: send ₹3 lakh and receive ₹3.18 lakh in return. Deceived by the offer, the principal transferred a total of ₹2.65 lakh from her accounts and her PhonePe to the designated account. She realized she had been scammed when the promised money did not arrive. The incident was reported at the Pathalgaon police station, and the police are now investigating the matter.
