
Following continuous rain, Chhattisgarh is grappling with a grim situation as six fatalities have been reported due to lightning strikes. Light to moderate rainfall was observed across the state in the last 24 hours. The weather department has issued an orange alert for heavy rainfall in the districts of Koriya, Mungeli, and Balodabazar. A yellow alert has been issued for 25 other districts, including Balod, Durg, Surguja, Bastar, Dhamtari, and Raigarh, indicating the possibility of thunderstorms, strong winds, and lightning. Rainfall data shows Pakhajur received the highest rainfall at 60 mm. The maximum temperature of 33.0 degrees Celsius was recorded in Rajnandgaon, and the lowest minimum temperature of 19.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Pendra Road.
