Chief Minister Shri Sai participates in Bharat Vibhajan Vibhishika Diwas โ National Seminar and Photo Exhibition
Raipur, August 14, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, while addressing the Bharat Vibhajan Vibhishika Diwas โ National Seminar held at the Muktakash Manch of the Mahant Ghasidas Museum in Raipur, said that the partition of India is such a chapter in history, the pain of which is still felt today. Remembering the events of that era still agitates the mind. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that at the time of partition, lakhs of people had to be separated from their homes, families and motherland and had to face violence and unrest in many places. Some people were able to return safely to their country, while many could not reach their homes. The events related to the trains that came to places like Amritsar station still remind of the difficult times of partition. He said that even in this difficult time, those who came to India, they started a new beginning in life with hard work and courage, which is commendable.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that August 14 is also the death anniversary of the late Dilip Singh Judev ji. Judev ji contributed as a Minister of State in the government of Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji. His personality was vast, and his nature was philanthropic. Today, a Culture Protection Mahasammelan and felicitation ceremony was organized on his death anniversary in Dharamjaygarh.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that we got independence on the values โโof hard struggle and sacrifice. It is the duty of every citizen to respect the tricolor received from the sacrifice of the freedom fighters. He said that on the call of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the tricolor has become a symbol of enthusiasm and unity across the country on the occasion of Independence Day for the past few years. Tricolor yatras and the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign have connected it with the masses.
Dr. Sadanand Sapre, the main speaker, thinker and writer in the national seminar, said that the painful events of the time of partition are an important part of history. He expressed confidence that with the united efforts of all of us, the unity and integrity of India will be further strengthened.
Dr. Yudhishthir Lal Maharaj, who was presiding over the program, said that we should remember the sufferings, displacement and challenges of that time along with independence. It is necessary to make the coming generation aware of the history of partition. He said that at the time of partition, many communities including Sikhs and Sindhi societies had to migrate leaving their homes and families, which was a major humanitarian crisis.
At the end of the program, Shri Vivek Acharya, Director, Department of Culture, expressed his gratitude. On this occasion, MP Shri Brijmohan Agarwal, MLA Shri Sunil Soni and Shri Motilal Sahu, Shri Ajay Jamwal, Shri Pawan Sai, President of Chhattisgarh Sahitya Akademi Shri Shashank Sharma, President of Chhattisgarh Minorities Commission Shri Amarjit Chhabra along with a large number of students and dignitaries were present.
