A shocking property dispute in Bemetara, Chhattisgarh, has taken a sinister turn, with allegations of a death certificate being fabricated for an elderly woman. Shail Sharma, 81, has been fighting to prove she is alive after discovering a false death certificate. According to her, her own family members created the false documentation to seize her late husband’s assets. Her husband had invested in 30 dismil of land in Satna, Madhya Pradesh, which was initially overseen by her daughter-in-law. The recent transfer of the land ownership raised concerns from her grandson and elder son. Further investigation revealed that Shail Sharma’s death was registered in 1993, with a certificate issued from Maro Chowki, Bemetara. This case underscores a disturbing disregard for familial relationships, allegedly driven by property greed. The woman, who recently took a foreign trip, is now seeking legal recourse. The authorities are now tasked with unraveling this complex situation and providing a just resolution.
