
On the occasion of Independence Day, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated and laid the foundation for a series of development projects in Raigarh district, totaling ₹62.36 crore. During his visit to Dharamjaigarh, the Chief Minister oversaw the inauguration of 45 projects, valued at ₹42.99 crore, and the groundbreaking for 70 projects, costing ₹19.36 crore.
The inaugurated projects encompassed various infrastructure developments. A bridge over the Bhengari Nala on the Panikhet to Aedukala road in Dharamjaigarh was completed, costing ₹5.25 crore. Another significant project included the construction of a bridge over the Kharun River on the Pakargaon road in Lailunga, costing ₹6.39 crore. A single village water supply scheme was established across Kharsia, Lailunga, and Dharamjaigarh, with a budget of ₹28.53 crore.
Additional projects included retrofitting water supply schemes and solar-based water supply schemes. Primary health centers in Bahirkela and Lamdand of Dharamjaigarh and Lailunga were opened, each costing ₹75 lakh. A community building in Konpara village of Ghargoda development block was also inaugurated, costing ₹7 lakh. The CSPDCL 33/11 kV, 3.15 MVA work at the sub-center Khargaon in Dharamjaigarh, costing ₹1.25 crore, was also inaugurated.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister laid the foundation for several projects. These included tribal boys’ hostels in seven locations across the district, with a budget of ₹13.28 crore. The sites for these hostels are Dhaurabhatha, Tamnar, Lailunga, Ghatgaon, Gharghoda, Bakaruma, and Dharamjaigarh.
Other projects included the laying of the foundation stone for a watchtower at site room number 643 RF in Dharamjaigarh, costing ₹20.33 lakh, as well as the construction of a patrolling camp at room number 11 RF Kumarta, costing ₹10.88 lakh. The groundwork for various infrastructure improvements was also initiated in Dharamjaigarh, including culverts, CC roads, footpaths, RCC culverts, sheds, community buildings, panchayat buildings, and Mangal Bhavans, with a budget of ₹2.54 crore. The repair of 44 health centers in Lailunga, Dharamjaigarh, and Kharsia assembly constituencies, budgeted at ₹3.22 crore, was also commenced.
