The Indian Railways has successfully completed the Anuppur-Katni third rail line, a 165.5-kilometer-long project that enhances rail infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. This project is set to improve rail capacity and ease the transportation of essential commodities like coal and other minerals. The initiative, with a budget of approximately 1680 crore rupees, includes the completion of the remaining track, following the initial phase of 101 kilometers. The new rail line is anticipated to reduce congestion and travel times. Furthermore, it will greatly benefit tourism to Bandhavgarh National Park, fostering both tourism and trade between Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. The line is an important addition to the South East Central Railway network and will be instrumental in connecting key cities within Chhattisgarh and beyond.
