A crucial meeting will be held on June 30, 2025, between Raipur MP Brijmohan Agarwal and General Manager Tarun Prakash of South East Central Railway Bilaspur, at the Divisional Railway Manager’s office in Raipur. The primary focus of the meeting will be on railway development and improving passenger amenities. The previous year’s demands put forth by the MP saw the implementation of several initiatives by the railway administration, including special train services during festivals such as Kumbh, Holi, Chhath, and Diwali. Also, the Amrit Bharat Station scheme led to the renovation and virtual inauguration of Urkura, Bhilai, and Bhanupratappur stations. Furthermore, the meeting will tackle the provision of an emergency doctor facility at Raipur railway station, for which the ninth tender has been floated. Other key discussion points include the installation of a solar plant in the WRS colony, the completion of the Rajim goods shed by March 2026, and the reintroduction of previously suspended train services. The meeting will also explore the proposal to develop Sarona station as a suburban station, the police verification of parking contractors, the development of a garden at Kharun Rail Vihar, and an increase in the One Station One Product stalls. Railway officials anticipate significant resolutions during the meeting to address outstanding matters within the Raipur parliamentary constituency.
