Raipur police have solved the suitcase murder case in the DD Nagar police station area, arresting a lawyer, his wife, and two others. SSP Lal Umed Singh disclosed that the primary suspects in the case were Ankit Upadhyay, a lawyer, and his wife Shivani Sharma. They committed the murder in a rented house in Indraprastha Colony and disposed of the body in a suitcase in a secluded area with the help of two other people. Police investigations revealed that the victim, Kishor Paikra, had given Rs 30 lakh to Ankit, which he used for his personal expenses. When Paikra started demanding his money back, Ankit and his wife planned to murder him, hiding the body in a suitcase and covering it with cement to erase evidence. The couple fled after the murder. They were caught at Delhi airport upon landing. Forensic scientists and fingerprint experts gathered evidence from the crime scene. An Alto car, two two-wheelers, and five mobile phones were confiscated. The accused have been booked and remanded to judicial custody.
