
The government is providing skill development training to surrendered Naxalites in Sukma district, focusing on trades such as masonry and agricultural entrepreneurship. The Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma met with the individuals, who welcomed him with patriotic slogans. The Naxalites shared their positive experiences with the government’s rehabilitation policy, stating that their previous lives were misguided and lacked direction. They are now able to live better lives as part of mainstream society. They appreciated the government’s efforts to provide skill development and help them become self-reliant. Deputy Chief Minister Sharma listened to their feedback and made sure that all necessary documents such as Aadhar cards, ration cards, and bank accounts are provided. He also instructed that the rehabilitation center should incorporate more activities and exposure visits. He also directed the Collector and CEO of the Zila Panchayat to prioritize literacy, entertainment, and income-generating opportunities. The event was attended by numerous officials.
