In a significant move to accelerate development in Jashpur, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 13 projects collectively valued at Rs 40.89 crore. This strategic investment aims to transform the Farsabahar region and reflects the state government’s commitment to inclusive infrastructure development across Chhattisgarh.
The inaugurated projects, totaling Rs 4.16 crore, include essential road infrastructure designed to improve connectivity for local communities. Key among these are the Maskamara to Lavakera main road, the Ambakchar approach road, and the Mundadih approach road, all critical for facilitating local transport and economic activity.
The highlight of the event was the laying of foundation stones for nine new projects worth Rs 36.72 crore. This includes the ambitious Pamsala–Saraïtola road project, spanning 11.50 km and costing Rs 23.96 crore, which promises to be a major artery for the area. The new developments also feature a Sludge Treatment Plant for improved sanitation and a Rest House to support local facilities. A crucial aspect of this development drive is the enhancement of educational infrastructure for tribal students, with the allocation of funds for several Post-Matric and Pre-Matric Tribal Boys’ Hostels. These hostel projects, each costing approximately Rs 1.52 crore to Rs 1.91 crore, will provide much-needed residential support for students.
These initiatives underscore a broad agenda covering rural connectivity, sanitation, education, and tribal welfare. Chief Minister Sai reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to ensuring that the benefits of progress reach every village, embodying a vision for equitable development throughout Jashpur district.
