The sacred month of Sawan commenced with a huge congregation of devotees at the Bhuteshwarnath Dham, centered around the self-manifested Shivalinga. The day began with an outpouring of faith as pilgrims and families, traveled from distant places to perform Jalabhishek and prayers. The local priests say that the Shivalinga is a ‘Swayambhu’, which means it emerged naturally. Its size is growing every year, and it has now reached a height of about 80 feet and a circumference of 210 feet, which is a symbol of the unwavering devotion of the devotees. Amidst the showers, the atmosphere was charged with chants of “Har Har Mahadev” and “Bol Bam,” as devotees performed the Rudrabhishek with the sacred water. Following an age-old tradition, many Kanwariyas walked to the temple, carrying Kanwars on their heads, and offered prayers. The Shri Bhuteshwarnath Yuva Bhandara Committee provided free food and medical assistance to nearly 10,000 devotees, demonstrating the spirit of devotion and service. Devotees have faith that their wishes are fulfilled if they pray to Bhuteshwarnath with pure devotion. Numerous families offered special prayers seeking health, prosperity, and peace.
