
A significant incident occurred on Friday at a private steel plant located in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. A portion of the under-construction plant structure collapsed suddenly. Tragically, six workers lost their lives after being trapped under the debris. Additionally, between six and seven workers were injured and were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Several of the injured are reportedly in serious condition. The incident caused a state of panic throughout the plant. Numerous police officers were present at the scene, and rescue and recovery operations were underway. The plant management has not yet issued an official statement regarding the accident. According to initial reports, a blast caused the incident. The roof of the plant under construction collapsed following the explosion, trapping the workers. Rescue operations are ongoing. Six bodies have been recovered so far, while concerns remain that more individuals might be trapped. Raipur SSP Lal Umed Singh confirmed the event, which occurred in the Dharsiwa police station area. Senior Raipur police officials arrived at the scene soon after receiving information about the incident. Rescue operations are currently in progress. Police and administrative authorities are monitoring the situation closely. There is a possibility that the number of fatalities and injuries will increase. SSP Lal Umed Singh reported that the police received information about individuals being trapped after a roof collapsed near the Godavari Ispat facility. Police and other officials arrived at the site, initiating a rescue operation. Six bodies have been recovered, and six injured individuals have been rescued so far. The rescue operation is ongoing.
