Raipur, May 5, 2025 / Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, arriving on a surprise visit under Sushasan Tihar, Samvad Se Samadhan, has given a big gift to the people of Janjgir in the form of a new Tehsil office building. After 142 years, the citizens of Janjgir have received a new gift. Today, during a surprise visit to the district, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai inaugurated the newly constructed Tehsil office building. The old Tehsil office, built in 1883 during the British rule, has now become history, and in its place, a new building equipped with state-of-the-art facilities has been dedicated to the service of the people. This new Tehsil building has been prepared at a cost of ₹4 crore 21 lakh.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that “The government’s priority is to ensure easy and accessible access to services for the common man. This new Tehsil office is an important step in this direction.” He also informed that this building will provide revenue-related services to the citizens of 54 villages and 24 Patwari circles in this area under one roof.
The new Tehsil office has major services available for better conduct of administrative and judicial work. These include:
Lok Seva Kendra – Various facilities like caste, residence, income certificates are available. Similarly,
In the Inward-Outward Branch, the arrival and dispatch of documents,
In the Nazir Branch, the maintenance of non-judicial documents,
In the Election Branch, voter list and election related works,
In the Kanoongo Branch, maintenance of land and revenue records, and in the Maljamadar room, revenue collection and financial management works will be conducted. Along with this, in this office building,
Sub-Divisional Officer Revenue and Court Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Tehsildar and
Court Tehsildar Executive Magistrate, Additional Tehsildar and
Court Additional Tehsildar and Executive Magistrate
Naib Tehsildar and
Court Naib Tehsildar and Executive Magistrate have been prepared with well-equipped rooms.
On this historic occasion, Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary, former Leader of Opposition Shri Narayan Chandel, MLA Shri Vyas Kashyap, Zila Panchayat President Smt. Satyakala Miri, former MLA Shri Saurabh Singh, Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Subodh Singh, Secretary Shri P Dayanand, Nagar Panchayat President Smt. Rekha Deva Gadewal along with senior officers of the district administration, local public representatives and a large number of citizens were present.
