Chief Minister Shri Sai attended the inauguration ceremony of the newly appointed Chairman of Chhattisgarh Rajakkar Development Board

Raipur, May 3, 2025/Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today attended the inauguration ceremony of the newly appointed Chairman of Chhattisgarh Rajakkar Development Board at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium, located in the Medical College, Raipur. He congratulated and extended best wishes to the newly appointed Chairman of Rajakkar Development Board, Shri Prahlad Rajak, for his new responsibility.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the empowerment of the Rajak community, whose hard work, spirit of service, and social harmony have made significant contributions, is among the priorities of our government. The Rajak Dhobi community is one of those communities in our villages who have inherited skills from generation to generation. They have been earning their livelihood through this skill. In the new era, there is a need to further refine this skill. Through the Board, we should take initiatives on how to modernize the traditional work and how to create new employment opportunities. Our government will stand with you in the path you choose.

Shri Sai further said that the Rajak community is traditionally the embodiment of labor, service, and self-respect. There is no village in Chhattisgarh where people of the Rajak community do not reside. In every village, there are individuals associated with the Rajak community who hold an important place in the social system. In line with the resolution of our successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji for a developed India, we are moving forward with preparations to build a developed Chhattisgarh. Therefore, it is essential that every section of society receives equal opportunities and respectful participation.

Our government is firmly resolved to provide all means of education, employment, business, and self-reliance to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, backward classes, and deprived communities. This is social justice. This is the path of harmony. Our successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji is constantly encouraging skill development. Through various schemes, we are training the youth and inspiring them to become self-reliant through skill development for self-employment.

The Rajakkar Development Board has been constituted with the same objective: to identify the specific needs of this community, formulate plans for them, and connect them to the mainstream of development with full dignity. I am confident that Shri Prahlad Rajak ji will definitely live up to the expectations of the society with his vast experience. This appointment is not just a responsibility, but a symbol of the government’s commitment to social harmony, equal opportunity, and social justice.

On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam also addressed the program. Cabinet Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Shri Dayal Das Baghel, Shri Tank Ram Verma, Durg MP Shri Vijay Baghel, MLAs Shri Amar Agarwal, Shri Moti Lal Sahu, Ishwar Sahu, Dipesh Sahu, along with various Mandal Commission presidents, officers and employees of Chhattisgarh Rajakkar Development Board and a large number of dignitaries from the Rajak, Dhobi and Kannauje communities were present.
