Permanent Solution to Drinking Water Crisis in Forest Villages, Including Daldali: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai
Historic Announcements Made by Chief Minister Shri Sai in Daldali, Kabirdham, Wave of Happiness Swept Through Villagers
Raipur, May 6, 2025 / Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today reached Daldali village, nestled in the remote and difficult hills of the Bodla development block in Kabirdham district, as part of the state-wide Good Governance Festival. As news of Chief Minister Shri Sai’s arrival spread in this last border village, dominated by tribal and particularly backward tribal group Baiga, a wave of enthusiasm swept through the villagers of Daldali and nearby villages.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai formally inaugurated the resolution camp by lighting a lamp in front of the pictures of Chhattisgarh Mahtari and Maa Saraswati. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai met the villagers with great simplicity and affection at the resolution camp and made historic announcements. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that there will now be a permanent solution to the major problem of drinking water in Daldali and the entire forest area. Drinking water will be brought from the local Kanai river and supplied to every household. He said that the government is constantly taking big decisions to solve the drinking water crisis. He said that Rs 123 crore has been sanctioned for the Kusumghata water supply scheme from Chhirpani reservoir in Kabirdham district, which will supply water to 66 villages. At the same time, Rs 78.45 crore has been sanctioned for the Rampur-Thathapur-Dashrangpur-Sutiyapath water supply scheme, which will provide relief to 54 villages.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that our government has fulfilled every promise under the guarantee of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. After taking the oath of office as Chief Minister, I first approved housing in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for 18 lakh families of the state in the cabinet meeting. A decision was taken to purchase 21 quintals of paddy per acre from farmers at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal. Fulfilling Modi ji’s guarantee, the outstanding bonus of two years was also given to the farmers of the state. Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, more than 70 lakh women have been directly benefited. The rate of standard bags for tendu leaf collectors has been increased to Rs 5500. Shri Ramlala Ayodhya Dham Darshan Yojana has been started and 22 thousand beneficiaries have got the benefit. The Chief Minister Teerth Yatra Yojana has been restarted. He said that the state government will soon undertake the work of filling forms for the eligible beneficiaries who have been deprived under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. He informed that the survey work is being done under Phase-2 of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He urged the villagers to take this survey very seriously and make sure to include their names. He said that all eligible persons will be given pucca houses under this scheme. The Chief Minister also took feedback on the implementation of various schemes including Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana, Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Chief Minister Food Scheme and MNREGA at the resolution camp.
Addressing the resolution camp, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the Chhattisgarh government, in its first cabinet meeting itself, fulfilled the guarantee of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi by approving 18 lakh new houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He said that we have fought a long battle on the road for these houses and today the pleasant result of this struggle is starting to be seen in every village of Chhattisgarh.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sharma informed that Union Rural Development Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan is coming to Ambikapur soon and on this occasion, the state will get an even bigger gift under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He said that very soon those eligible beneficiaries of the state, who have been deprived of the scheme till now, will also get its benefit.
On this occasion, Pandariya MLA Smt. Bhavana Bohra also addressed the resolution camp. She said that under the able leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, an unprecedented stream of development is flowing in the forest and tribal areas of Chhattisgarh, due to which positive changes are being seen in public life. She said that with the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas, Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana and water supply schemes, even the remote villages of Kabirdham district are now joining the mainstream of development.
