
Raipur / On the occasion of National Unity Day, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today paid floral tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel by garlanding his statue located in Devendra Nagar, the capital Raipur. He said that Sardar Patel was not just a freedom fighter, but a great personality who united the nation, laying the foundation of an undivided India through his indomitable courage and firm resolve by integrating the country’s princely states.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai conveyed the message of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ by participating in the ‘Ekta Daud’ organized from Shastri Chowk to Sharda Chowk in the capital Raipur along with schoolchildren, public representatives, and common people.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Sardar Patel is called the ‘Iron Man of India’ due to his foresight and remarkable leadership ability. His efforts to unite the nation will always remain a source of inspiration for future generations. He said that on the call of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, ‘Run for Unity’ is being organized across the country today, which is a symbol of national unity and integrity.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that India is a country full of diversity, and the spirit of ‘Unity in Diversity’ is our greatest strength. Praising the enthusiasm and discipline of all the participants in the program, he said that their zeal is a symbol of reverence for Sardar Patel and dedication to the nation.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai called upon everyone to take a pledge to realize the resolution of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ given by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and administered the oath of national unity to all.
Union Minister Shri Juel Oram, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, MLA Shri Kiran Deo, MLA Shri Purandar Mishra, and Chairman of Chhattisgarh Iron Craft Development Board Shri Prafull Vishwakarma, along with a large number of students, public representatives, and dignitaries were present at the program.
