
Active participation of Bharat Scouts and Guides
Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal participated, called for following the path of unity in diversity, India’s true strength

As part of the Unity March program organized across the state from October 31 to November 25, 2025, on the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th birth anniversary, a grand district-level foot march was organized on Sunday from Swami Atmanand Hindi Utkrisht Vidyalaya Kharwat to Government Adarsh Ramanuj Boys Higher Secondary Baikunthpur. The Chief Guest of this program was the Health and Family Welfare Minister of Chhattisgarh, Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal.
Organized under the joint auspices of the District Administration and the Sports and Youth Welfare Department, approximately 5 kilometers of foot march saw enthusiastic participation from the Bharat Scouts and Guides District Korea team, NCC cadets, college students, public representatives, and people from all sections of society. The entire city of Baikunthpur echoed with slogans of ‘Vande Mataram’, ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, and ‘Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Amar Rahen’.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Shri Jaiswal said that India’s beauty lies in its unity in diversity. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel made a historic contribution to the integration of India by peacefully merging 565 princely states, which is why he is known as the Iron Man. He played a crucial role in integrating complex princely states like Junagadh, Hyderabad, and Jammu and Kashmir, leading to India’s emergence as a strong nation.
Minister Shri Jaiswal stated that cultural unity is extremely essential to make India a developed, self-reliant, and world guru by the year 2047. He encouraged the maximum use of indigenous products, stating that this would further strengthen the country’s economic condition.
The Unity March was attended by a large number of people including Collector Korea Chandan Sanjay Tripathi, Superintendent of Police Ravi Kumar Kurre, CEO of Zila Panchayat Dr. Ashutosh Chaturvedi, Chief District Commissioner Devendra Tiwari, District Sports Officer Jitendra Kumar Gupta, District Secretary Surendra Kumar, District Organizing Commissioner Scout Nageshwar Sahu, District Organizing Commissioner Guide Asha Ekka, Former District Organizing Commissioner Guide Vijay Kujur, District Media In-charge Ravi Prasad Baiga, Block Secretary Baikunthpur Shiv Pratap Singh, Scouter Keshav Prasad Sahu, Guider Priyanka Rajwade, Sweety Mishra, along with a large number of Scout Guides, urban local body and Panchayat level public representatives, employees – officials, and people from various communities.
