
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai paid tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at a memorial event held in Raipur. He stated that the state of Chhattisgarh is a direct result of Vajpayee’s efforts. Sai described Vajpayee as the creator of the state and remembered him for his multifaceted talents as a journalist, poet, and politician. He praised Vajpayee’s powerful speeches and their impact on the audience. Sai announced the commencement of a 25-week celebration marking the silver jubilee of Chhattisgarh’s formation. He highlighted that the state is celebrating its silver jubilee due to Vajpayee’s contributions. The current year has been named Atal Nirman Varsh in honor of Vajpayee, with provisions for infrastructural development. Sai mentioned that Chhattisgarh is progressing towards the goals set by Vajpayee and discussed the Chhattisgarh Anjor Vision-2047 roadmap, designed to ensure future growth. Sai recounted his experience of being a Member of Parliament when Vajpayee became Prime Minister, and how the entire Lok Sabha eagerly awaited his speeches. He emphasized Vajpayee’s commitment to principle-based politics and his belief that politics is not just about power, but also about communication, consensus, and compassion.
