
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai highlighted the Skill India Mission’s impact, praising the progress made by Chhattisgarh. During the closing of the World Youth Skill Festival 2025 at Rungta University in Bhilai, he discussed the collective efforts to build a developed India and Chhattisgarh.
Sai acknowledged the Gold Book of World Records’ recognition of training given to 8183 participants in a week and congratulated Rungta University. He stated the government’s commitment to making the youth self-reliant and skilled.
The Chief Minister mentioned the expansion of higher education during Dr. Raman Singh’s tenure and highlighted the state’s achievements in education and health. He spoke about the government’s efforts towards transparent governance, which has controlled corruption and improved revenue.
Sai emphasized Chhattisgarh’s mineral wealth and the importance of citizen participation for self-reliance. He noted that the Skill India Mission, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has helped India become the fourth-largest economy.
He found the Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme useful, which supports youth with experience and financial aid, opening new opportunities. The new industrial policy of the state government aims to provide opportunities for youth with grants to industries employing local youths.
Sai commended private institutions like Rungta University, working to establish Chhattisgarh as a skill hub. The festival included training for 8183 youths, award ceremonies, launching of joint degree programs with top global tech companies, and MOUs with Harvard and Cambridge Universities. MP Vijay Baghel and MLA Rikesh Sen also spoke at the event and highlighted the festival’s role in making youth globally competitive. Santosh Rungta, Vice-Chancellor of Rungta University, spoke about the university’s mission of making Chhattisgarh a global skill hub, in collaboration with the state government.
