Chief Minister addressed the Waqf Reform Public Awareness Program: Said – Everyone should make a combined effort to dispel the misconceptions about the Waqf Amendment Law

    Raipur, May 07, 2025//
The Waqf Amendment Law is not against the Muslim society, but in their interest. Our combined effort and objective should be to ensure that no kind of confusion spreads in the society regarding the Waqf Law. Everyone should understand the reality and also inform others about it. A public awareness campaign is being conducted across the country regarding the Waqf Amendment Law, and in this connection, today Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said this at the Waqf Reform Public Awareness Program organized at his residence office.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the Waqf Board Amendment Act is an important step taken to protect the interests of the Muslim community. He said that the Waqf Board was formed with a very pious objective, so that the Muslim society, especially the poor and backward Muslims, could benefit. But in the past years, some influential people took advantage of this law and fulfilled their self-interests, due to which poor Muslims were deprived of their rights.

Shri Sai said that in achieving the goal of ‘Developed India’ that our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has set, the role of all the countrymen is essential. If any class is left behind, we will not be able to fulfill our resolution.

Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam said that our government cares about the interests of all. The purpose of the amendments made in the Waqf laws is to empower the Muslim society. Now, a complete account of every penny of the income of Waqf properties will be kept and this amount will be used for the welfare of the people of the society, their education and raising their standard of living.

On this occasion, MLA Shri Kiran Dev, Waqf Board Chairman Dr. Salim Raj, Principal Secretary of Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department Shri Sonmani Bora, Waqf Board CEO Dr. S. F. Farooqui and many intellectuals of the Muslim society were present.
