Kamalbai Gavai, the mother of Chief Justice of India, Bhushan Gavai, has been invited to the RSS event in Amravati on October 5th. This event is significant as it celebrates Vijayadashami and the RSS’s centenary year. While an invitation letter has been made public, a letter alleged to be written by Kamalbai Gavai expressing her disagreement with Hindu ideology has also surfaced. Her son, Rajendra Gavai, stated that his mother will attend the event. However, sources indicate that Kamalatai Gavai has stated that she would not participate in any RSS event because of her commitment to Ambedkarite ideology. Rajendra Gavai defended his mother’s decision to attend the event, emphasizing that despite ideological differences, relationships are important. He also highlighted that his family has attended RSS events in the past, and they believe in respecting all religions. He also mentioned that there has been some negative reaction on social media due to the CJI’s position, but they are choosing to focus on positivity.
