The Congress party, reacting to a Supreme Court’s criticism of Rahul Gandhi, has intensified its criticism of the Modi government’s policy towards China. The party alleges the government is following a ‘DDLJ’ strategy—Deny, Distract, Lie, and Justify—in addressing the border situation. The Congress raised a series of eight questions, pointing to the Galwan clash and subsequent events to question the government’s transparency and actions. These questions touch upon various aspects, including the Prime Minister’s statements, the current status of troop deployments, and the increasing trade deficit with China. The party claims the government is responsible for significant territorial losses and is attempting to normalize relations with a country that has acted against India’s interests.
