A strong accusation has been leveled by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who claims that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s position as Prime Minister was secured through ‘election theft.’ Gandhi stated that his party is compiling extensive evidence to demonstrate how the BJP engages in ‘chunav chori’ and that Modi himself benefited from this alleged manipulation. He specifically referenced the Haryana elections, presenting them as a case of ‘wholesale chori’ and questioning their legitimacy. Gandhi detailed his allegations to the Election Commission, including concerns about fake votes and voter impersonation, and expressed dismay at the lack of response from the EC and the BJP’s refusal to refute his claims. He also pointed to a specific instance of a non-citizen allegedly voting. Gandhi further alleged a conspiracy involving the Election Commission, Prime Minister Modi, and Home Minister Amit Shah to undermine the Constitution by manipulating election results. He asserted that the ‘one man, one vote’ principle was disregarded in Haryana, allowing for multiple votes from a single individual, and warned of similar tactics being employed in the upcoming Bihar elections, following alleged precedents in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, and Gujarat. This ongoing political discourse unfolds as the Bihar assembly elections are underway.
