Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav sparked debate with his remarks at a program in Vrindavan. He stated that if Lord Ram could smile in Ayodhya, there should be no objection to Lord Krishna smiling as well. This statement is being viewed in the context of the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi dispute. Yadav attended the concluding ceremony of a Bhagwat Katha at Keshav Dham. During the event, he also announced a financial aid of 11 lakh rupees from the state government to the Sainik Kalyan Board, supporting the families of martyrs who were part of Operation Sindoor. The ongoing legal proceedings in the Allahabad High Court regarding the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah Masjid case are also relevant.
