A controversy has erupted over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Bihar, with the Congress party questioning the silence of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on the matter. While several opposition parties have raised objections and leveled accusations against the Election Commission and the BJP, Vijayan has remained uncharacteristically quiet. The Congress highlights this as a departure from the collective stance of other opposition leaders, including those from Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, and Jharkhand, who have publicly opposed the SIR. The Congress points out that Vijayan’s focus on Kerala-specific issues reflects a double standard.
