Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Delhi’s Environment Minister, took aim at Arvind Kejriwal, referencing his residence as the ‘Sheesh Mahal’ and claiming it’s suitable only for a five-star hotel. He also responded to critiques regarding the renovation costs associated with Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s official residence, estimating the expenses to be around Rs 50 lakh. Sirsa pointed out the extravagant features of Kejriwal’s residence, like costly toilet seats and remotely controlled curtains. He contrasted this with the situation of Rekha Gupta, who, according to Sirsa, resides in a standard home. The renovation plans for Gupta’s residence encompass electrical and interior upgrades, including five televisions, fourteen air conditioners, CCTV cameras, and a UPS system.
