The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is transforming travel, with the newly completed Bandikui-Jaipur spur significantly reducing travel time between Delhi and Jaipur. The 66.9-km stretch now enables a journey time of approximately three hours. The NHAI initiated a trial run on July 2 and offered toll-free travel during this period. The new route connects Bandikui in the Dausa district to Jaipur, providing a faster alternative to the NH-48 and NH-21 routes. Toll fees on this route are anticipated to be between Rs 600 and Rs 690. Before full commercial use, NHAI will conduct a forensic safety audit and final inspection. The spur, built at a cost of around Rs 1,368 crore, features interchanges such as Khuri to streamline traffic entry into Jaipur. During the trial phase, a maximum speed limit of 120 kmph is enforced. The expressway will decrease travel time, save fuel, and reduce transport expenses. Commuters can now reach Jaipur from Bandikui in just 30 minutes, with the Delhi to Jaipur journey taking approximately 2.5 to 3 hours depending on traffic.
