The national capital, Delhi, experienced significant disruption due to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms on Tuesday. Connaught Place (CP), a major area in Delhi, received an overwhelming amount of rainfall, exceeding 100.2 mm in a two-hour window. This led to extensive flooding, hindering traffic and daily commutes. Videos shared on various platforms showed the main road network in the area flooded. Vehicles struggled to move, wading through the water. This situation created significant challenges for commuters, especially those on two-wheelers, and resulted in severe traffic jams. The impact extended beyond CP, with other areas also facing similar problems. Delhi Police issued advisories to help manage the situation, including route diversions and warnings about affected areas.
