Reena Rajput, the sister of BJP MP Mukesh Rajput, has filed a case against her in-laws in Etah, Uttar Pradesh, alleging assault and domestic violence. The incident stemmed from a secret filming incident, where she was filmed while bathing. Her complaint details the long-term harassment and attempts to evict her from the family home. Reena stated her father-in-law and brother-in-law filmed her and, upon her protest, she was beaten. The video of the assault has gone viral, allegedly showing the father-in-law attacking her publicly. The violence included the use of sticks and canes. Reena, married for 17 years and a mother of two daughters, claims her in-laws have been continuously tormenting her. The police have initiated an investigation by registering a case, under the appropriate sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
