ED attaches property of establishment owned through brother-in-law of Maharashtra CM

NEW DELHI: The ED on Tuesday stated it has connected property value Rs 6.45 crore of an organization owned through the brother-in-law of Maharashtra Leader Minister Uddhav Thackeray in reference to a cash laundering investigation.

In a commentary, the Enforcement Directorate stated it has issued a provisional order beneath the Prevention of Cash Laundering Act (PMLA) to connect 11 residential apartments in Neelambari mission, positioned in Thane close to Mumbai, of Shree Saibaba Grihanirmiti Non-public Restricted.

Shridhar Madhav Patankar, the brother of Thackeray’s spouse Rashmi, “owns and controls” Shree Saibaba Grihanirmiti Non-public Restricted, it stated.

The company alleged budget that had been allegedly siphoned off in a cash laundering case being investigated towards an organization named Pushpak Bullion had been “parked” in the actual property initiatives of Shree Saibaba Grihanirmiti Pvt.Ltd.
