Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar declared that political strategies are being employed by targeting Indian voters under the guise of criticizing the Election Commission. During a press conference, Kumar addressed allegations of double voting, underscoring that those making the claims have provided no evidence. He asserted the Election Commission’s and voters’ resilience against such false accusations. Kumar affirmed the Election Commission’s commitment to protecting all voters, regardless of their societal standing. The CEC also referenced the legal provision granting political parties 45 days to contest election outcomes in the Supreme Court, scrutinizing the timing of allegations. He further emphasized the transparency of the Lok Sabha elections, which utilize a vast network of personnel and agents, questioning the possibility of vote theft within such a system.
