The NDA enjoys a clear majority in both houses of Parliament, placing it in a commanding position for the Vice-Presidential election. In the Lok Sabha, the NDA holds the support of 293 members out of 542. The Rajya Sabha provides the alliance with 129 members from an effective strength of 240. The combined strength for the Vice-Presidential vote across both houses is 786, with the victory mark at 394. The NDA surpasses this mark comfortably with the support of 422 members, ensuring a strong position. The BRS and BJD have decided to abstain from voting.
