Police are investigating a murder case in Pathapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, where a man’s body was found near his motorcycle. The deceased, Nalli Raju, initially had his death listed as suspicious. The post-mortem determined the cause of death was suffocation after he ingested sleeping pills. This led to further inquiries.
CCTV footage showed two individuals, Gundu Uday Kumar and Mallikarjun, acting suspiciously near Raju’s residence. Their apprehension led to revelations about the victim’s wife, Monica. It came to light that Monica had been involved in an extramarital affair with Gundu Uday Kumar. Despite her husband’s and family’s attempts to stop the affair, Monica continued the relationship and decided to eliminate her husband.
On the appointed day, Monica poisoned Raju’s food with five sleeping pills. Later that night, she called upon her lover, Gundu Uday Kumar, and his friend, Mallikarjun. They entered Raju’s home, placed a pillow over his face, and suffocated him. The perpetrators then moved Raju’s motorcycle and left his body nearby to stage an accident.
The next morning, Monica contacted relatives, claiming her husband was missing. However, the police investigation uncovered the truth. Monica, along with her lover and friend, was arrested. They were brought before the court and subsequently jailed.
