The murder of Raja Raghuvanshi during his honeymoon in Meghalaya involved a series of failed attempts before the fatal incident. Police investigations have shed light on three previous unsuccessful attempts to kill Raja, all orchestrated by the accused, including his wife Sonam Raghuvanshi. The plan was allegedly devised by Sonam and her lover, Raj Kushwaha, who employed three professional killers.
Details from the police investigation indicate that the first attempt was made in Guwahati, which did not succeed. Subsequent attempts in Sohra also failed to result in Raja’s death. The perpetrators ultimately succeeded in killing Raja at the Visadong waterfall.
Authorities have revealed that multiple locations were considered for carrying out the murder, including Guwahati and Nongriat. However, logistical issues prevented these plans from materializing. Initially, the killers were ready in Guwahati even before the couple.
