The Indian Railways often faces scrutiny, with the Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, being a frequent target of criticism, particularly from the opposition. However, in a surprising turn of events, Saurabh Bharadwaj, a Delhi Pradesh president of the Aam Aadmi Party, has praised the railway system and its minister. This represents a departure from the AAP’s usual stance of criticizing the central government.
Bharadwaj took to the social media platform X to share a video. In the video, recorded at New Delhi Railway Station, Bharadwaj stated that he wanted to acknowledge positive improvements. He noted the improved cleanliness of the platforms, toilets, and waiting rooms. He specifically mentioned the clean washrooms and the presence of staff maintaining them, which led to his praise for Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
Previously, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has been criticized by the opposition following several train accidents, including the New Delhi Railway Station stampede and the Balasore accident. These incidents often resulted in sharp debates between the opposition and the Railway Minister in Parliament.
